Tonight, Daddy and I met grandmommy and Aunt Amy at Spaghetti Works in Des Moines. We went there for dinner before we went to the Iowa Cubs game. Ryne Sandberg, mommy's favorite Cub, manages the Iowa Cubs but he wasn't there tonight. He was at the Hall of Fame cermony in Cooperstown. I really like Spaghetti Works. Though I like spaghetti, I went with the chicken strips and fries. They good and juicy, but not the best I've ever had. Still, I recommend going there. I'm looking forward to the game. Daddy says Carlos Zambrano is pitching tonight. I hope he behaves! I hope I get to see Cubby Bear. Go Cubs!

Chicken on the Grill, home
Mommy and I went to the Iowa City Farmer's Market on Saturday and got lots of good stuff, including these green beans. Except some of the green beans were yellow and some were purple. For some reason, the purple ones turned green when we cooked them. No problem. They were yummy. The chicken was yummy too. I love chicken on the grill. It was nice and juicy and tasty.

Popcorn Shrimp, Red Lobster
Grandma and Grandpa came up today to do some birthday shopping with me. I had a big list so we had to eat first to have energy. I chose to go to Red Lobster. I love chicken strips, but Red Lobster isn't a place to have chicken strips so I had the popcorn shrimp with fries. I also really like the biscuits you get before the food arrives. My shrimp was really good. I ate it all before I even ate my fries, that's how good they were. In case you have kids and they like chicken strips, they do have them at Red Lobster. They also have root beer, which is my favorite soda. I might get lobster next time I go there. By the way, it didn't take me long to do my shopping. And I got a new scooter that makes sparks!

Miller Park, Milwaukee, WI
These chicken strips came in a basket with a generous helping of waffle fries. The chickens were crispy, crunchy, chicken-y and with just a little bit of pepper. They were also wingless (mommy doesn't know what that means.) The waffle fries were perfectly done. Colin says they were spicy but mommy disagreed. They were good, but challenging to find. We sat on the 200 level and daddy had to go back down to the ground level to find them.
We did enjoy the game very much. The Brewers came back in extra innings. We got to see fireworks and we even got on the jumbotron. It was the first time I've been to Miller Park that the roof was open.
The chicken strips at Miller Park are just OK.

The Harborside, Lake Geneva, WI
Sorry, I don't have a picture of these chicken strips. I ate them too fast. These strips came in a basket with regular French fries that were kinda spicy. There four strips. They were crunchy, but not too brown. They were juicy and nicely chicken-y. I have my chickens without sauce, but these come with barbecue if you want it. I washed down my chickens with a bottle of Point root beer. My daddy took a picture of me with the root beer and we'll post it here.
The Harborside is located across the street from The Riviera, the ballroom sitting on the shore of Geneva Lake. We watched the tour boats go out and come back in. We thought it was so neat, we took the ice cream social boat tour. It was fun.
If you're at the Harborside, I recommend the chicken strip basket and the root beer.

Welcome!
Hi everyone. I'm Colin. I'm 6 years. I really like chickens so I'm going to write about them when I have them. Mom and I might even try a few recipes and let you know how that turns out. I hope you like my website.
